A response to social needs arising from the COVID-19 pandemic

The Parish Councils of St Stephen’s, Richmond, and St Bartholomew’s, Burnley, agreed to begin, in partnership with Anglicare, a Relief Programme to operate out of St Stephen’s Church as from the first week of May. The mission will be called The Marjorie McGregor COVID-19 Relief Programme (MMRP).

Food Distribution: Friday’s 10.00am to 12noon @ St Stephen’s Church, 360 Church Street, Richmond.

Who do we assist: people who are ineligible to access social security e.g. migrants, overseas students, refugees & asylum seekers, certain categories VISA workers.

What do we supply: food parcels of dry and frozen foods and UHT milk

Can I donate? Yes, you can purchase food at Coles, 150-160 Swan Street, Richmond, and deposit into collection bin. You can donate money. Please contact mmrp3121@gmail.com for bank details

  • rice
  • pasta
  • breakfast cereals
  • UHT milk
  • muesli bars

How do I volunteer? Volunteers who already have parish compliance clearance (WWCC & National Police Check) would be welcome. New volunteers will require to have a WWCC listing the parish as a place of volunteering.
